I was just informed that due to concerns about COVID-19, as well as travel restrictions, the Apocalypticon event has been cancelled. The staff at Miniwargaming were very apologetic and look forward to rescheduling it once things have settled down. On a positive note, I got a lot of work done on my army. It was very motivating and I hope to keep the momentum going. It just means I have more time to build a larger army. I was sitting around a 450 Power Level but I may be able to get it up to the maximum 500 Power Level. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Yeah sad to see but cancelling the event probably makes the most sense. At least we can all keep working on our pet projects while we are in lock down. Thoughts and prayers to everyone in these dark times. Stay safe wherever you are.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I know it was for the best. Were you planning on attending?
ReplyDeleteoh no i'm in west London and my army is so far from being finished its silly, but its been on hold for about 20 years since i got that box set all those years ago. Its getting there slowly. On the plus side i like the look of yours and hope you continue to put out updates, makes me keep going i can tell you
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you like my stuff and can motivate you. COL Gravis was my motivation several years ago and it made big difference. "Unfortunately" I have to work through the COVID quarantines and don't have a lot of hobby time. I am trying to get stuff done on the weekends. After my Scions I will be working on Sentinels and Ogryns.
